Located a 13‑minute walk from the Forum and 17 minutes to the Pantheon, it offers easy access to Campo de’ Fiori, Piazza Navona, and Ciampino Airport.

Trastevere and Rome in general are crowded and busy. This lodging is close to the sites but just far enough away to be peaceful and restful. It was the perfect location with a large and quiet terrace. The bed was super comfortable, the linens new and fresh; it was all great. Nothing.

The terrace was great for reading, but the toilet sometimes failed to flush and you could hear other rooms; with the high price you’d expect better soundproofing.

Ripagrande is a small guesthouse with a fantastic host. The location is outstanding and the building stays cool because the rooms are on the shaded side. From the lovely terrace you can see a beautiful neighboring house. Host Fausta takes great care of her guests and speaks excellent English, and the pretty young ladies who run the house kept the room tidy after we requested cleaning. Six stars! I really had nothing to complain about, but you need to book well in advance. I booked early, yet the largest rooms were already taken, so we got the smallest with a 140 cm bed. It was fine, but next time we’ll aim for October/November to snag a bigger room.
