“It was lovely, the rooms were updated and I would stay again.”

The owner was wonderful and proud of his family’s hotel, sharing the building’s history with us. The rooms were above standard for the area. The location was convenient, near the ferry and downtown. We had a breakfast bag prepared for us since we left before breakfast hours, which was unexpected but appreciated. We’d stay again and recommend the Archontiko Hotel Kalymnos to others. Nothing really stood out as negative.

Just a short walk from the ferry, the location is perfect for cafés and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful, the old building was tastefully restored and recently refurbished, and we enjoyed great views from our balcony. We liked everything, and we’ll definitely come back. Because it’s close to the working port, the town can be a bit noisy, so light sleepers might want ear plugs. That said, we slept well during our three nights at this lovely hotel.

The hotel is not pet‑friendly and does not accept animals. The manager assured us we would get a refund, then told us the booking had been held on her behalf, while the booking system notified us that the hotel management had declined the refund. She even deceived us and later confronted us. The owner said he had no responsibility for the manager’s behavior and tried to sort it out. The manager told me to search online first and communicate directly with the hotel instead of booking rashly. Beware if you’re traveling with pets—you might end up on the wrong side of the road.

“Buena intención pero precio alto para lo que ofrece”

The staff were friendly, and the location right by the port and bus stop was convenient. The room was spacious and bright, but the mattress in “Fournos” was uncomfortable with visible springs, and exterior noise was noticeable. The bathroom only had a tiny bar of soap for three days, and breakfast was disorganized—if you weren't there early, items ran out.
