The room was roomy yet cozy, the bed very comfortable, and the shower powerful and hot; we loved the doors opening straight into a private garden. The room is very close to a railway, but with the door and window shut and earplugs, we couldn’t hear the infrequent trains.

It was in a very quiet spot, the bed was very comfortable with great pillows, the host was lovely, attention to detail was good, the room was a nice size with nice décor. It would be nice to have larger towels; this wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the site. The owner had a note on the bookshelf saying we couldn’t leave our dog in the room, which we saw, but it could be more prominent. We didn’t bring a dog, so it didn’t affect us, but people should know before booking. I emailed the owner about bringing a dog and got no reply; if we’d brought her, we would have been frustrated. Of course I understand why the owner wouldn’t want a dog left in the room. Attention to detail matters, but it won’t stop us staying again.
The stay was very peaceful.

The place was quiet, but I couldn't use the toilet comfortably because it sits just a centimetre from the left wall—my left‑handedness made that awkward, and I should have checked before. The lack of a TV also added a small inconvenience.
