The room was large, clean, with comfy beds, nice sheets and pillows. Hot water was good and towels were fine. Overall, a nice, spacious room with a balcony and plenty of room for bags. The bath was probably past its use-by date, the walls were a bit thin and the room two levels below was a bit noisy. There was no fridge, no coffee or tea, and eating in the room wasn’t allowed, which might be normal here.

The welcome and comfort were great, the breakfast suited us, and the room was pleasant and practical.

The bartender was warm and friendly, delighted to match our pigeon French with his excellent English. I booked a discounted room thinking it would have a balcony; almost every room at the hotel has a 'sit‑out' balcony, but we received a tiny side room with no balcony and no view. The booking process felt opaque and unclear, making this the least satisfactory part of our entire tour. I believe the platform needs to invest more in monitoring and refining room descriptions and photos, as many are at best unclear and at worst misleading. When traveling on short notice, it’s hard to get clarity from hotel owners due to language barriers.
