The location suited my large vehicle, the staff were welcoming, and the room was clean, yet the bedding felt damp because it hadn’t fully dried before the mattress was placed, and late‑night chatter from neighbors seeped through the walls and door.

Knowing it was a 2‑star property, I expected a basic experience, and the location was convenient while the pet‑friendly policy was a plus; however, we were assigned a pet‑friendly room that my wife declined to use because it was dingy and dirty. I asked for a refund, which was denied due to the non‑refundable booking, but we were offered an alternate room that allowed our dog and was better. With a minimal upgrade, my score would have risen to 2.5. The towels were low‑quality and thick like face cloths, the sink had detached from the wall, and the shampoo and conditioner came in a nearly impossible‑to‑open wet packet; all of these issues were easily fixable.

The price was reasonable, the hotel was not far from EV chargers, and a quick drive brought us into downtown. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms spotless, and the staff were very friendly, offering several room choices. However, a spray used to mask musty odors was almost overpowering; if you are sensitive to fragrances, request a room with an opening window. The AC could use a cleaning.

The location is good to central Woodstock and the 401. Good parking, friendly staff. Quiet. The room looked as though the owners were trying to improve. The bed was comfortable and clean, as was the shower and toilet. However, the door, as with the bathroom door, looked as though it had extra wood added to the structure to add strength. Cobwebs were in every ceiling corner. The bathroom door frame was really not clean, especially close to the toilet. The arms on the comfy chairs were stained. The bathroom floor wasn’t clean under the floor mat.

The spot was great, but the TV was impossible to figure out.
