The B&B had original décor, a bit outside Baton Rouge, reachable by car with on‑site parking, a great breakfast with Grits we hadn’t found elsewhere, served at a long table with other guests and sparked good conversation—very interesting! It sits on a main road but isn’t noisy, though the ground‑floor room was on the first floor.

“Relaxing, easy going vaca spot!”

Janice and the Stockade team turned a potentially chaotic trip into a soothing escape; the historic property is fascinating, the beds are incredibly comfy, and everything was spotless and functional; breakfast tasted great, the renovated bathroom—especially the shower—was a highlight; thanks for accommodating all my plan tweaks, and I’ll return soon!

Janice was very friendly and went out of her way to make our stay feel welcoming; I wish I’d stayed longer and can’t wait to visit again when I’m back in the area, which is close to New Orleans and other great Louisiana attractions; her Bed and Breakfast is amazing, though it’s a bit rustic—something that may not suit everyone, but we love that vibe because the region is usually known for it.
