“Hidden beach paradise in the hustle bustle of Canggu”

The hotel is practically at the beach and right in the middle of the action, but tucked away in a side alley with no view of Main Street, giving it a quiet little oasis just a few steps from the beach, shops, bars, and excitement. The staff are wonderful, and the pool and pool bar offer a nice break between surf sessions and bar nights. The staff is amazing too. It’s a lovely hidden gem. The pool deck needs a bit of work, but that’s minor. The pool itself is clean, clear, and pleasant!

Nothing good! When I arrived, a man who only knew one English word—passport—was at the front desk. No other staff were seen. I booked a King suite, the most expensive room, and it was awful! There was no window that let me see outside; the only large windows opened straight into the bathroom. The common area was outside under a roof that was a joke. The pool was small and dirty. The whole place was shabby, worn out, and in bad condition. It was next to the beach, but a couple of huge nightclubs kept noise until the morning, making it impossible to sleep! We booked for six nights but were moved after two. DON'T TAKE A ROOM FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!

The property is beautiful—old but charming. The nightclubs are loud, so if you’re okay with that, this is the spot for you.

“Disappointing, this is more like an Airbnb without cooking facilities, not a hotel.”

It’s near the beach, the rooms are big, and the beds are comfy. The guy who runs the “restaurant” is nice and helpful, but this isn’t a hotel. We had the pool to ourselves. There’s no reception desk, no one in charge. The restaurant guy doesn’t manage the rooms. We didn’t see anyone else staying there; the gardens are overgrown and the cleaners didn’t tidy used cups or glasses or replace water bottles. We called the owner to complain. He sent people to clean, but the next day the same thing happened. The owner hung up on my friend the second time he called. We stayed four nights as we’d booked, but Canggu has changed so much in the past decade that we would have preferred to leave immediately.

“Relaxed and comfy”

The spot was spot on, and the breakfast at Fortunata cafe was a treat. The pool area was great for chilling out, the bed was comfy, the bathroom looked cool, and the air‑con was powerful with a solid ceiling fan. The only thing that could use a tweak is that they don’t provide water for guests every day.
