There was no reception and we weren't given any check‑in instructions. After a tiring walk we were stuck outside the lodge trying to make phone contact. When we finally got through and received the entry instructions, we found the room unclean. We didn't stay there and moved to another lodge.

The location is convenient for those without a car, but the bathroom in room 3 was a surprise.

The towels were old and covered in a lot of lint, leaving my skin dirtier after showering than before. I asked for a replacement, but they didn’t provide one. The place feels more like a shack than a lodge, with a shower practically above the toilet that splashes water everywhere, making the room a mess. The room itself was dirty and hadn’t been cleaned for days; they never refilled paper towels or soap. The only entrance is an electronic gate, and one day it lost power, trapping us and causing us to miss an entire day of sightseeing because there was no spare key to manually open it. The owner lives in Barreirinhas and does nothing about any issues, only sending a nearby employee who fails to resolve anything, which makes no sense. If you’re thinking about staying here, change your mind and don’t say you were unaware.
