“Einmalig”

One-of-a-kind stay at the temple! We were greeted warmly and felt instantly welcome. The house we stayed in was beautiful and authentic, yet modern at the same time. Everything we needed was there. The activities offered made the visit truly special. The vegetarian meals (breakfast and dinner) were also outstanding, freshly prepared. Thanks for the heartfelt hospitality!

“Fun and spiritual”

The monk and his wife are very sweet. The activities are super fun to do. The room is very spacious and clean. Diner is also very nice. Private diner feeling! Loved it. If you are a light sleeper it will be difficult to sleep with the passing train

“Charming hosts, delicious food and unique experience.”

Delightful experience. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts, who went out of their way to make our stay very memorable. The temple experiences were genuine with a lot of options to choose from. The accommodation was traditional Japanese style, very clean, with a fully renovated bathroom. The food was outstanding, a real highlight. Great care was taken in everything offered. Hosts spoke excellent English. They provide this service to maintain the working temple, so it’s clear why they cared so much for us in order to benefit their community. It’s too far to walk from the train station, but a taxi was only 1000yen and there is a local bus option if you prefer. You can hear the occasional train from the accom, but they stop for most of the night. It did not affect our stay
