Nice room with a very easy entry/exit system. Everything was clean and well maintained. The decor was very nice, and the room felt cosy and luxurious. The “no shoes indoors” rule that also applied to the hotel foyer was odd, especially since it seemed to be just a regular modern carpet rather than historic flooring that needed protection. It would have been nice to have a standing shower in addition to the bath.

This is a real gem of a hotel. I have now stayed there twice and each room has been magnificent. Really comfortable bedding and everything provided that I needed. Really lovely owners and a great history of the building. A real home from home and I am looking forward to staying again

This house is spectacular. I read about the history of it, 700 years old and restored by the owners over a period of 3 years. Its decor is rich and completely in keeping with the grandeur of the house. The location was excellent being very close to the town centre. Car parking is at the mall just across the road and its charges were very reasonable. Our room was in the front, so there was a bit of road noise but that didn’t stop us sleeping soundly.

Big room, easy check‑in, big mirrors, sufficient plugs, fancy decor. The room was very warm, the bed small for the room, pillows were absolutely awful—basically flat, no shower, and not enough milk was provided to even make one coffee.

The hotel sits right in the heart of Maidstone, and the building itself has a lot of character. The bedroom was spacious and the ensuite was very comfortable, and they kept plenty of coffee and tea on hand. On the first day I had trouble getting into the main door because the 4‑digit code didn’t work, but the issue was sorted out fairly quickly.
