Beautiful spot, the location is unbeatable with a lake view and a lovely garden where you could spot deer and other wildlife. We stayed two days but never spoke to any staff; everything was self‑service, even the room key was in a box outside the door, but it was simple enough and we didn't need anything else.

The location was great. Unfortunately the house is aging; the exterior needs care with broken lights and facades. No breakfast is provided. For the price we expected so much more. The property has already passed its prime years—sad about that.

The entrance is autonomous. The place wasn't clean; someone had shaved and there were still hair remnants behind the sink. Everything feels very old. On the upper floor you hear footsteps and the ceiling seems about to collapse, showing a lack of sound insulation.

The view is stunning, the bed, pillows, and linens are excellent; the common lounge is very cute. The bathroom is very small and the sink is tiny 😂 It costs a bit too much for what it offers.

On‑site parking and twin beds were key for me, and Greenacres met those needs. The view and the building look gorgeous and are well maintained. A glassed common area room is very appealing. Everything in our room was in good order; Wi‑Fi worked, hot water and heating were fine, and the keying system is brilliant. A decent restaurant is at the Welcome Center within walking distance on a sidewalk, and downtown is a half mile away. I must point out that this is a legitimate place; my first messages after booking made me suspect a scam, but it turned out to be real. I was almost ready to cancel when I received a registration form that raised my doubts. I looked for another option but couldn't find one in Portree without compromising location. The host later dropped the form requirement with a friendly email that eased my concerns. This place operates like Airbnb, not like a hotel; the management is upfront that there is no on‑site staff.
