We liked that the owner was receptive and tried to help us, even though she ultimately couldn’t. We didn’t like that the location was a bit gloomy, smelled old, and was fairly far from the center where there’s more activity. There’s no privacy because you have a room with a bathroom, but the rest is shared, and if other guests are around you can hear almost everything you do, including noise from the other room, and you run into strangers in the common areas. On the street there’s a bar where people stay out late, and one evening we even had an incident where the police and ambulance came, which scared us. The pillows were uncomfortable, and the windows you open look into the owner’s yard, so again, there isn’t much privacy.
