“Tourisme rural de luxe”
The experience was superb in this agrirelais that feels more like a boutique hotel, with splendid décor and meticulous attention to detail. It sits on an old agricultural estate owned by the church, overlooking the sea, and features extraordinary natural irrigation through stone lava channels. Long abandoned, it is now cultivated with citrus and operated as an agritourism by a brave young Sicilian who gave us a tour and explained the local economy. It was a beautiful moment of exchange and sharing that will remain one of our best memories of Sicily. A fairly busy road is nearby, but the rooms are well insulated, so the minor inconvenience is outweighed by the quality of the stay.
