“A lovely little hotel just outside of town. A perfect place to stay in the Andalsnes area”

Dinner was fantastic, with lovely and knowledgeable serving staff, and the food was well prepared and delicious. However, I booked a room with a view, which turned out to be of the wall behind the property and the hillside above it, a disappointment that made the room quite dark.

The first impression at the entrance was cozy and a bit homely. I requested gluten‑free bread and received a loaf and a slice; the bread was okay. My wife saw someone else take my bread in my place—maybe an employee should have been in the room. At 3–4 occasions, I had to ask where to get service. The breakfast selection was poor, the rooms were cold, and the light bulbs in the bedside lamps were bad. There was no lemon soda or 7‑up for drinks. The price was too high; we paid over 3100 kr, bought two drinks for 330 kr, and had to pay an extra 55 kr for a glass of peanuts. It might be wise to reconsider this. We stayed the next day at Thon Hotel for 1500 kr, where the warmth and lighting were better.

The hotel was very good. The only issue was sharing a bathroom with another room.

The boutique hotel was lovely, the staff were great, and the chef‑prepared three‑course dinner with matched wines at a communal dining table was excellent.
