The accommodation is set in a beautiful garden with excellent facilities—everything you need is there and everything is very clean. From the terrace we had a wonderful view of the sea. The drive to the South Coast takes about 30 minutes by car, to the West Coast 45 to 60 minutes. We had a very pleasant interaction with Jorge, the owner of the property, and we would love to return.

We liked everything; the space is very pretty and the details are well taken care of. It’s a little over half an hour from the Algarve beaches, but outside the mass tourism chaos, in a green area that we unfortunately didn’t have time to explore.

George and Laura were truly wonderful hosts. It’s a shame we were only there for a week; we would have liked to chat more with them and learn about the land and people. We rarely meet such nice people. The garden is truly a little paradise where we felt at home. Don’t be fooled by the drive: you climb the hill once and then enjoy the garden and view! The house is well furnished, very clean, and very comfortable. Even in the shoulder season, it was warm inside. The Quinta is ideally located for hikes in the surrounding eucalyptus forests, and the nearby town of Monchique is surprisingly lively by car. The Quinta also makes a good base for trips to the coast. The trumpet tree was already withered (mid‑May).
