The garden and the gardener are lovely, and the view from up there is beautiful. What was a bit disappointing was that the rooms seemed to forget to ventilate when guests were absent, so mold appeared in the corners of the walls and ceiling, and the smell lingered. Opening some doors cleared the air. I also had to call twice to get a closed gate opened, and the gardener was sent to do it, which felt like a less-than-warm welcome.

The house is clean and the host is friendly. It’s suitable for families. For couples, it can feel a bit quiet because the bamboo garden is right behind the room. The location is close to Curug Cijulang, so walking around isn’t far. Even though there’s no breakfast, there’s a cooking facility so you can cook yourself. A café is about 200 m away for those who don’t want to cook. My advice: bring enough cash because ATMs are far, and bring packed food because the Alfa shop is also far. There are local warungs, and a Brilink agent warung for cash withdrawal, but the amount is limited.
