The comfort was great, and Mary was very friendly even though my English was limited 😅. It was a bit far from the center, but the bus service was excellent!

We returned to Ireland after nearly 20 years since our first visit 37 years ago, staying at this cozy B&B that’s not in the city center, with a clean room and comfortable beds; breakfast wasn’t included, but the bathroom had modern furnishings. It feels like a “child of our time” B&B where accommodations are often anonymous and you can’t even meet the owners. We were reminded of the first Irish B&Bs from 40 years ago, which were run by homeowners offering spare rooms with typical British breakfast and a sense of familiarity and warmth. That said, the B&B Almanii offers good value for a short stay and is definitely worth it. It’s advisable to take transport to see the city center’s attractions unless you’re up for a 6 km walk. No particular complaints, just a suggestion that the owner replace the tap that takes 4–5 seconds to turn on with a traditional one.
