The owner was very helpful, greeting us before the official check‑in because we arrived early in Rome, and after that we had full privacy with no further contact from him. The room had air conditioning, which was fantastic for the 36°C heat we experienced, and it also had a mini‑fridge. The room and bathroom were spacious. The Italian‑style breakfast was convenient – we received vouchers to get a coffee or cappuccino and a cornetto at the nearby bar (my wife doesn’t drink coffee, and the bar kindly swapped it for orange juice every day at no extra cost). The place is close to the Giulio Agricola metro station, making it easy to get around. We were already aware that the location is 30–40 minutes by metro from the main tourist spots, that the shower’s temperature fluctuated a bit, and that a microwave would be a nice addition.
