The price was good, the room was just for sleeping, the beds were comfortable, no bedbugs or fleas, breakfasts were tasty, and coffee was available 24/7. Everything else was fine.

The place was just enough for two to three nights. The boat is small but has everything you need. If you’re mostly out in Amsterdam and don’t spend much time in the room, it’s perfect for sleeping and relaxing. The location and city access are also great, so you can get around quickly. Overall, it’s a practical and cozy spot for a short city trip. What we didn’t like was that the boat was very noisy, so we could hear other guests a lot. It was also very damp; towels barely dried and smelled clammy rather than freshly washed when we arrived. The mattress on the upper bunk had visible mold. The moisture was noticeably affecting the stay.

The location was great. The only snag was that there was no hot water during the day.

I stayed in a spot that’s spot on for the city vibe, and the whole experience felt oddly local. The staff were friendly and the room felt safe. Breakfast was solid, and there was a microwave available in the evening—though I had to bring my own plates, just cutlery was provided. The downside was that everything was damp; the walls were wet and the bedding was damp too, and there was no ventilation and a swarm of insects. The bathroom floor was cracked and the equipment looked old. Some guests said the insulation was average, but that depends on how you respect the place. The room was tight, so if you bring a lot of luggage or don’t like cramped spaces, it might feel uncomfortable.

The location was great, with a seating area on the boat and a nice upper deck. The woman who seemed to be the host—she never introduced herself but was the only staff member on the boat—was the rudest, least professional person I’ve ever met in the service industry. While I waited to check in, she left the boat and started a shouting match with a man on the common deck, pushing him twice while yelling. When I entered the kitchen to get water, I saw meat, eggs, and milk on the counter at 2 pm (breakfast ends at 10 am). After she returned to the boat, she didn’t acknowledge the incident but locked herself in the back room and complained about it on the phone. She also had a terrible cough and didn’t take any sanitary precautions, coughing directly into a bucket of dishes used for breakfast. The overflowing garbage was never emptied during our three‑day stay. Because of her cough and the food left out, we chose to eat breakfast elsewhere. Overall, it was extremely disappointing, especially given her habit of giving us and other guests dirty looks and curt answers.
