The room was small but comfortable, fairly peaceful, and not too far from the town centre. I booked because I was heading to a concert at The Bristol Beacon, about a 25‑minute walk away. I saw many negative reviews, but it’s cheap and cheerful for a central location in Bristol, and I would definitely stay again. One small bathroom for four rooms made things difficult; I had to wait at least 30 minutes to access it in the morning, which was challenging for a man of my age.

The place offered good value, but the facilities were lacking, there was no TV, and the shower water was cold.

The location was close to the city centre, yet there was very little to do otherwise; the neighbourhood felt unsafe, and locals confirmed that it was indeed the case, with green areas crowded by homeless people high on spice.

There is nothing good about this property. The place is dilapidated, neglected and very poor. The stairs are very dangerous and there is rubbish all around the entrance to the property. It is very bad. This was a truly awful and horrendous stay. VERY BAD AND TERRIBLE! I can’t put into words how awful this experience was apart form the fact I needed to make an official complaint to in regards to a very serious issue which was completely unacceptable and unfair. In all of my time staying in places this is by far the worst experience I have ever encountered, it is also very dirty just by looking at the outside. It is super bad - please look at the photos of the property upon welcoming. Please be warned. I needed to lodge a complaint into a serious issue and the owner deliberately turned his phone off and left his poor wife to deal with the matter who was very mean and unwelcoming. It was a terrible experience and was extremely unprofessional and dirty. This experience completely ruined my Saturday evening so please look at the photos and judge for yourself as to whether staying here or attempting to stay here will be worth it for you. You must be warned how unprofessional this host is. I had a nightmare of an experience. I asked for a refund but I wouldn't go past asking for compensation it was so bad. I have stayed here previously and there is no lock on the shared bathroom. The locks to the doors are very loose and unsafe. The beds you will find have been slept in by so many people it has a very disconcerting and odd feel where the memory foam has been depressed by so many people sleeping on it you are literally sleeping on the mark lines of other people and the mattress needs to be replaced. It is a very weird feeling and is pure neglect. Customers who pay to stay here deserve better. If there is a concern the owner should not turn his phone off and disappear. There are rules and you must treat paying customers fairly. This property has a poor rating for a reason. Thank you.
