“👎 ★ 1/5 – Čtyři hvězdy na papíře, realita bohužel z úplně jiné planety”
The only thing we can praise is the wellness area, newly renovated in April 2026 and truly modern and pleasant. That’s why it’s such a pity that the rest of the hotel looks like the renovation never happened. We arrived at Sport V in Hrotovice expecting a four‑star hotel, but left disappointed and shocked. This isn’t about taste, it’s about the state of accommodation, maintenance and the level guests should expect for their money. The room felt like it was frozen in time a few decades ago: old furniture, faded and scratched fittings, worn surfaces and an overall neglected interior. The photos give a completely different impression. About 57 photos exist, roughly 40 of which showcase the more attractive parts of the hotel. Classic, Economy, etc. rooms are represented by only a few shots. We recommend scrolling through the whole gallery and focusing on the room category you book. Even the common areas are not up to standard. Hallways have leaking maps, damaged ceiling tiles, moisture stains or repairs, and we even found cobwebs. The bathroom had faded, worn fittings, visible dirt and damage. The furniture didn’t look maintained. The reception with a self‑service vending machine for chilled food, including glass bowls of goulash and other ready‑made items, left a particular impression. The machine itself isn’t a problem, but in this environment it definitely doesn’t contribute to a four‑star feel. What shocked us most was the staff’s reaction. The receptionist and the operations manager essentially told us that the photos were just illustrative, citing “100 people = 100 tastes.” Yes, everyone has different demands, but leaks, worn fittings, a faded bathroom, cobwebs and neglected spaces are not a matter of taste. If the photos don’t match reality, guests should be clearly informed beforehand. Overall, the hotel gives the impression that investment went into what’s visible while the accommodation part stayed deep in the past. Four stars, in our view, is a sad mismatch between the label and reality. We’ve attached photos so everyone can form their own picture. It was a huge disappointment for us…
