“Pros & Cons, but in a great location!”
The place is perfect for walking and just one block from the train; the listing says 100’ to the nearest station, but that’s for the commuter line and Amtrak, while the orange line is only a block away. Most of the spots we wanted were a 10‑20 minute walk. The hotel was very quiet; we stayed on the seventh floor and heard nothing from inside the hotel, only an occasional horn from the street below. I liked that the elevator needs a room key to reach the floors, keeping people from wandering. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, letting us drop our bags before check‑in and giving us a detailed list of recommended restaurants, always polite and with great customer service. The rooms are very tiny, which is fine for a solo traveler but offers no privacy for a couple; the toilet and shower are in a frosted‑glass separated area you can see through, the sink is in the room so there’s no separate bathroom like in America, and the bed is flush against the wall so you have to crawl over your partner to get up. Many reviews say the bed was comfortable, but that’s a matter of preference; we have a very plush bed at home and the hotel’s bed was very firm.
