“Infested with bed bugs, run down building in a terrible location and poor host”

The room layout was fine, but the building itself is in terrible shape and sits in a horrible location, hidden away by dark, rubbish‑filled backroads far from any main shops. The common areas are totally run down, there's no lobby, and grabbing a ride was impossible because the place is so remote. A mosque nearby means you can hear loud prayers around 5‑6 am. Service was poor, missing basic items like soap and shampoo, and the host refused to give extra toilet paper even after several requests, showing a dismissive attitude and no hospitality. The room felt like a bad Airbnb, with someone’s random belongings left around. As other reviews mention, this place has a persistent, awful odor that doesn’t go away even after airing it out, and the host said they couldn’t apologize because “the whole of Thailand smells like that” (which is untrue). The worst part was the bed, infested with bed bugs that kept biting me more and more each night. The pool was dirty, and there were no instructions for Wi‑Fi. I can’t recommend this place and will never return.

The apartment was very spacious and had everything you could need. It sits on a hill with a great view of Patong. The owner was friendly and helpful.

“Was good could have been better if it wasn’t for smell”

The facilities were good and the privacy was appreciated. The apartment had a bit of a mouldy smell.
