Located in historic Dorchester, The Junction Hotel is a 3-minute walk from Dorchester West Train Station and offers stylishly furnished rooms with free Wi-Fi, en suite bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, and complimentary bottled water. The ground floor location provides disabled access. A hearty breakfast is served daily, and the on-site pub serves classic pub food, including local specialties like Wiltshire ham and Marston's Ale pie.

The location is good, and this is our second time staying at The Junction. The breakfast is okay; a menu with more choices would be better than the waitress offering only cereal or a full English, especially since my wife doesn’t eat pork. The guest shouldn’t have to negotiate a different breakfast. We stayed in room 5, which needs a deep clean; both the carpet and the bathroom floor were dirty, and the bathroom mirror was splattered with toothpaste. Parking is very tight, and I think spaces should be allocated per room. Few amenities were available: only hand soap and shower gel. Herbal tea and decaffeinated coffee would make a difference, as would a box of tissues, new coat hangers, and more of them; the old ones are bent and sticky. We didn’t see a cleaner near our room during our 2‑day stay.

The hotel is clean and the staff were very hospitable, and it’s very close to the town centre. Nothing else to add.
