If you’re looking for a place to unwind, Tara Beach is the spot. The Ma, her husband, and the Chef are outstanding—friendly and helpful. The accommodation suited us perfectly. Thanks a lot. We even extended our stay. ☺️

“eine einmalige Erfahrung”

Tara Beach Resort sits by a small lake and caters mainly to day‑tourists, offering seating, umbrellas, and a beach that’s pretty decent. There are also three cottages rented as rooms; they’re a bit dated but overall “good.” The resort is fairly remote (we knew that), yet the dinner we had there was quite tasty. The whole property might have been nice, but outside the immediate beach area it looks run down—probably a lack of funds or willingness, or both. There was enough staff to help out, though. The slide and kids’ pool were unusable and dirty, and many buildings were cluttered with random items. You can walk around the lake, but the “lost places” vibe is strong. Breakfast was narrow even by Thai standards, and the 200 baht per person price feels overpriced.

Nice spot, but everything looks neglected. The staff are very friendly! The room is also fine, very atmospheric and comfortable. Cleaning above eye level is apparently a challenge… 😏
