“Cheap but basic.”
The caretaker family were very kind and the hotel is close to the entrance of Kumana NP; the safari arranged through the hotel was good and we saw many amazing animals. The room was clean and the price was very cheap. However, the cabins are pretty isolated – in the village there’s only a small convenience stand and a juice bar, nothing else nearby. The caretaker family and the safari guide spoke very little English, making communication hard. Our cabin bathroom was tired; the toilet seat and towel rail mentioned in a previous review were still broken, the blinds were ripped – functional but not great. The AC finally kept the room cool after being on for 24 hours, so our first night was uncomfortable. You will be charged for extra bottled water.
