Nice and friendly staff. Just a suggestion: some hooks in the room and the bathroom would be good to hang up clothes and stuff. Also some instructions how to turn on and use the television in the room would have been good. I woke up at 05.00 and wanted to watch the Eurovision Song Contest and I didn’t know how to turn the tv on!

The hotel sits in a reasonable area; once you get your bearings it’s a 20‑minute walk to Circular Quay. Harry’s Café On Wheels is just 30 metres away, great for a late‑night snack. Dan and Val were great staff. However, the website’s description was completely off: there’s no real restaurant upstairs as advertised, though the lovely lady there cooked me a special honey chicken. If you’re into burgers and fries they’re there, but the meat raffle advertised for Thursday and Friday nights never happened and there were very few patrons. Overall it was very disappointing; we won’t be back. When we asked locals, they seemed to think the place was on a suicide self‑destruct mission.

The location is great, easy to find, and the food and drinks are nice. The only downside is that there’s no air‑conditioning in the room.
