We liked Gigi immediately and her lovely home, which was spotlessly clean and very comfortable; Gigi goes to great lengths to make your stay unforgettable and her eye for detail is great. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice, cooked and presented beautifully. We intend to return and encourage others to visit – you won’t be disappointed.

Lucy and I found Gigi a wonderful host; she went above and beyond to make our stay at Orchard Side a pleasurable experience. Breakfast was cooked well in an air fryer, a healthy option and incredibly tasty. There is nothing bad to say about Gigi—she’s a lovely person who also picked us up from the train station and on our last day gave us a lift back to the station. Gigi took us out for a coffee at the MG Motors café where I was bowled over to see my favourite make of car, Morgan. And on a final note, Barnaby, the poodle cross, is great fun and good company; he has a wonderful temperament and we love him to bits, and of course Gigi whom we are both very fond of. Keep it up, my lovely, you are simply the best host and nicest person we have had the pleasure to meet, and keep smiling, lovely lady—it suits you. 10 out of 10 for the best short break ever. The other guests were nice and friendly, you know who you are, take care, hope to see Gigi and Barnaby in the future. I highly recommend Gigi’s guest house to anyone who likes that home‑from‑home experience. There’s nothing to report; everything was amazing.

Everything was really lovely. The bed and pillows were comfortable. It was great value for money, and the breakfast was superb. Gigi, the host, was excellent as other reviews have said; there is so much paid attention to detail and she was so welcoming. My bedroom also had a dressing room, an en‑suite shower room, and a balcony. The garden was lovely too—I could go on. I definitely will be back and wouldn’t go anywhere else in this area 😁. Nothing else to note.

Gigi was incredible! She has a way of making you feel welcomed. It’s the true Bed & Breakfast experience. We stayed in the annex with a kitchen but are so glad we added breakfast. Gigi did such a good rate for it and we got to try her wonderful breakfasts. Overnight oats to die for! And, for our pleasure, she also had plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The room is charming but up to date, very clean and with everything you might need. The bathroom is remodelled. The outside area of the garden with the Koi pond and relaxing area was such a nice surprise. And Barnaby, Gigi’s sweet and very well‑behaved puppy, was a pleasure to have around! Gigi also drove us to the venue of the wedding we had to go to, and on my last day drove me to the station :) Can’t wait to return someday. We miss you Gigi and Barnaby!
