The accommodation boasts a very nice pool and feels very green and Balinese. The staff were very friendly upon arrival and the room is nicely furnished. The rooms are extremely noisy‑sensitive; I could hear every word from other guests and the sounds of dogs, cats, and roosters very loudly from outside. I didn’t like that the balcony was open, so the neighbor next door had access to my balcony and the curtains were not privacy‑blocking. Since I’m traveling alone as a woman, I didn’t appreciate that there was no 24‑hour reception in the evenings/nights and that the property was generally very dark at night; you should know this if it matters to you.

“Une petit havre de paix au milieu de la folie de canggu 😁”

A small haven of peace amid all the noise. You hear a bit of the road, but you can easily ignore everything happening outside. The team is adorable and you’ll get a great breakfast. There are only eight rooms, so it will be very quiet. I would do it again, but I’d have liked a slightly quieter spot in Canggu; otherwise, the establishment is fine.

Great property! Delicious breakfasts, excellent location, and it’s clean and very pleasant. A huge plus is the wonderful owner—tough, extremely helpful, and truly committed to making guests feel their best. The staff also deserve huge praise—everyone was very kind, open, and helpful. It was a truly wonderful stay! We only regret that we could only stay so briefly. We definitely recommend this place to everyone! ❤️

Very close to the main street restaurants and bars (in the part farther from the beach). Yet it’s quiet because it’s in a small alley away from the street itself. A large nice resto‑bar where lots of people hang out in the evening is literally across the road. The owner is very nice. The kitchen is open to residents to use for making food or keep things in the fridge. The room was fairly sized and comfortable. Responsive on WhatsApp. No major bad stuff by itself is a big issue, but they did accumulate and cause my score to drop. I think with very minor touches the place can be perfect: No bug nets in the bathroom window. And if not locked (told the cleaner to keep it shut), it can very easily allow someone to get in your room from the ground floor (though you could lock the bathroom from the main room). Many mosquito splatters on the bathroom walls. The pool was not clear. I own a pool, and I did not feel I could let my kids go in safely. No staff to talk to on‑site most of the time, except on WhatsApp where the owner was fairly responsive. We were given a nice bio soap on the 3rd day, which was nice. On the other hand, there’s no soap or shampoo in the room, so we had to buy soap on the 1st day.

“Juwel in Canggu”

Super beautiful and lovingly detailed personally run guesthouse with only eight rooms. The pool is wonderfully deep and refreshing for a few laps in the morning. The rooms are simple but good, with a terrace or balcony. The street is hardly audible, so it’s an oasis of calm in otherwise bustling Canggu. Gabi and her staff are very warm and you feel like part of the family right away. Breakfast consisted of coffee or tea, juice, fruit plate, brown toast, and eggs prepared to your liking. We lacked nothing. As soon as you leave the hotel, there are many restaurants and small shops on the street toward the beach. The walk is already 30 minutes; with a grab you’re of course faster there. Gabi has many great tips ready; we’ll come back.
