Hotel URFA turned out to be a cool place. The reception was friendly and welcoming when we arrived. The owners also run the gas station, so they have to juggle both roles. The room was clean and tidy. We also liked the “Retro” bathroom in light blue; it’s fine if old things aren’t all replaced at once. Breakfast was good and plentiful. I imagined what life must have been like when the inn was still open and people might have stopped by after refueling. The proximity to the A1 Ring was, of course, great. We’ll definitely remember this hotel.

This place offers the best value for money in the area—practically a bargain, though it’s not a luxury resort. The furniture is solid oak carpentry that must have cost a fortune, with a rustic‑oak look that was cutting‑edge in the 80s and still looks flawless, far superior to today’s cheap pieces. The breakfast buffet had everything you could need or want, and the pastries were excellent. The new mattresses are medium‑firm and work well for side sleepers. It’s a friendly family‑run operation. THAT WAS THE CLEANEST ROOM I’VE EVER SEEN! The bathroom was completely streak‑free; I have no idea how they keep the tiles and grout so immaculate. I’m still blown away and felt very comfortable. The flat‑screen TV is a bit small for people with poor eyesight, since it sits far away in the relatively spacious room.
