“A place I will never forget. FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS”

Absolutely appalling experience. The rooms don’t look like the photos, the phone number provided is fake, and the owner is just an aggressive man who shouldn’t be doing this job at all. We couldn’t check in on the first night because he wouldn’t answer the door or phone; I was exhausted after a long road trip and needed rest, so we just went to another place. I wasn’t angry, I just wanted to stay there the second night we had already booked, but after receiving a few unnecessarily rude messages from the owner, we agreed we’d come the next day at noon. Right before noon he cancelled our reservation completely and acted absolutely crazy about it. I’ve never seen such terrible and simply bad behaviour anywhere else in Bali. And he’s still threatening me days later about something? Because I tried to get a refund? Booking didn’t give me a refund and I literally cried after being treated by a stranger this way. Maybe there are drugs involved?

The owner was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for him. He went out of his way to ensure everything was perfect, even taking me around the locality on his scooter and showing me the local attractions. There was nothing I didn’t like.

The villa was nice and clean, the rooms were good, everything was fine and I liked it a lot. I don’t know whether it was the staff or the owner who was too controlling, telling guests they can’t use the pool, charging 9 people a fee, and not allowing us to turn off the AC outside while we were always monitored and not given freedom to be active.
