The holiday apartment is in a good spot, a bit old‑fashioned, and therefore very cheap; the landlords are very friendly, and public transport gets you right into Bolzano.

The village of Collalbo offers beautiful countryside views and the apartment itself sits in a quiet spot, giving a 7.0/10 rating. Unfortunately, the washing machine and BBQ that were listed as amenities were missing; we were told a gas BBQ would arrive one evening but the host never contacted us or delivered it.

The location is very quiet, and the mattresses were excellent, so we slept well. The oven and induction hob were great, and the view of the Schlern was lovely. Guests could use a small vegetable garden for self‑service and buy fresh eggs and drinks. The décor was rather dark, and the table and chairs in the bedroom were awkwardly placed and obstructive.

We stayed with my wife and two‑year‑old son, and the place was perfect for our family. Plenty of green space in front of the house made it great for kids and adults alike. The owner was extremely friendly, showed us everything we needed, and offered recommendations for local sights, dining, and shopping, even selling farm‑produced goods. Parking was more than sufficient, and the site’s isolation from the main road and village center provided peaceful evenings with forest birds. The apartment itself was spacious, very clean, and we had the upper unit. A wall cabinet in the bedroom held our belongings, and the beds were ideal. The kitchen had everything, including a filter coffee machine, which was essential. We didn’t miss any utilities. The owner also supplied a crib and a child seat for the dining table. The only drawback was the absence of an in‑apartment washing machine; the owner offered to wash our clothes and return them, but that wasn’t convenient because we weren’t in the apartment all day and couldn’t coordinate.
