“Very spacious room and friendly staff but the hotel needs a refresher so it will look like the pics”
The room was spacious and mostly clean, though some spots still had webbing. Being in the basement didn't bother me as much as others said. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic; you can get anywhere in the city in under 40 minutes, and Suwon is also not far. I was disappointed to find the room a bit "old"—some furniture was worn and could use a refresh to match the pictures. The rooftop terrace was basically non-existent and didn't look like the pictures, which was a bummer. The breakfast wasn't worth it; you can't pick what you want on your plate, and the quality isn't high, yet it's not cheap either. The basement smell people mention is there, but it's not as bad as described; after a few minutes it fades.
The rooftop was fantastic, but the bathroom opening directly onto the bedroom wasn’t practical for three people.
I really liked the hotel’s old‑fashioned interior with its dark, elegant tones. My room had a covered, tastefully designed balcony that gave it a special atmosphere. The layout was very original instead of the usual box shape, feeling unique with real character and soul. The hotel also has a small, beautifully secluded garden where you can relax. Another nice touch was the complimentary coffee available in the lobby throughout the day. The air conditioning was an older type, but it worked properly during my stay. Because the building itself is older, details such as the electrical outlets reflected that, yet I experienced no problems at all and everything functioned as expected.
One of my favorite hotels in Seoul. I've stayed here three or four times already. Why? First, the staff. Also, the place has soul—dark tones, maybe a bit old, but full of character. If I had to name its vibe, it would be Humphrey Bogart. The rooms had enclosed balconies and flowers that gave them a special feel. The location is great: Gimpo Airport is easy to reach, as is Incheon. There's a 24‑hour convenience store across the street, the subway is just around the corner, and a pharmacy by the subway entrance. The only slight surprise was that breakfast was the same every day, though it was offered at a very reasonable price.
“適当に便利な立地”
Location scored about eight‑tenths for me, being close to the circular subway line, intersecting Route 4, and near the airport shuttle, plus surrounded by convenience stores, bars and eateries in the heart of the nightlife district; the front desk offered water and coffee, the elevators had security features, and the staff were average but unobtrusive. On the downside, if you’re fine with local food or convenience‑store snacks, the breakfast isn’t necessary—the buffet and its offerings felt mediocre, the staff were friendly yet the selection matched the price, the high‑floor view was nice but the bathtub was more novelty than functional (think “view bathtub”), bottled water was provided but overall amenities fell below average, the electrical fittings were inconvenient, and the whole place gave the vibe of being on the outskirts of Nagoya’s Sakae area.
