The cabin is in the wilderness, a nice log hut with a spacious private bathroom, and the host is pleasant; nothing else.

The toilet and shower rooms are very clean, but there are several 10‑km detours to reach the place, and you have to travel a long way to Banff.

“Great stay, cozy and comfortable.”

The property exceeded my expectations for a cabin, the long weekend was very enjoyable, and there are many hikes and activities nearby. I booked the Dogwood Shanty (private suite) that clearly states it has a private bathroom, but it doesn’t—it's shared, which is misleading. The BBQ utensils were dirty; separate bins for clean and dirty items would help. There’s very little space for garbage in the common areas.

The chalet sits right by the river and is incredibly quiet, which we loved, and the included breakfast was tasty – kudos to the chef – and the staff were friendly. The only downside was the bathroom, which is just a curtain separating it from the bedroom, so there’s no real door. Also, the top bunk is a hassle to climb and the space up there is tiny.
