Shahpura House in Jaipur blends Rajput and Mughal architecture, featuring domed facades and frescoed walls. The 4‑star property hosts a large pool, spa, wellness centre, and rooftop dining with views of Amber Fort and Aravali Hills. Rooms showcase marble, semi‑precious stones, flat‑screen TVs, minibars, and bathtubs. Guests dine at Rang Mahal, enjoy horse riding, and access a game room.

The stay and food service were great, but the puppet show could use improvement.

The heritage property was well maintained and the artwork is beautiful, but the bedside lamp was difficult to switch off because the lamp had no switch, so I had to stretch down behind the table to turn it off. The towels were dirty and the room had no tissue. The breakfast was too disappointing for the Rs 20,000 per night, offering very few choices and a coffee machine that served very cold coffee. I didn’t feel the place was value for money except for the traditional decor. The spa was supposed to open at 9, yet I waited and was told it wouldn’t open until 10 am. The service was not great.

The hotel is a beautiful old palace filled with antiques and old photos; the breakfast buffet was excellent and I highly recommend it if it’s your first time in Jaipur; the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were kind and helpful, though service was a bit slow at times; otherwise nothing major, so I’d happily stay again, 8.0/10.

The architecture and décor are stunning, the small pool with a few sun‑beds is pleasant, we were kindly upgraded to a gorgeous room with a comfortable bed, good Wi‑Fi, good air‑con, plenty of hot water (though you do wait for it), kind helpful staff, evening entertainment, a safe area of Jaipur, and great massage and pedicure—highly recommend and would return; we appreciated the women serving in the restaurant, a rarity in India, though they could wear trousers and shirts of a better colour instead of army‑style outfits; the food was tricky, buffets adequate but limited to local taste, especially for gluten‑free, low‑salt, low‑carb diners, but the second night they improved significantly, thanks to the lovely helpful staff, 10.0/10.
