“Great spot to spend the night in Matera.”
The bed was very comfortable and the spot was great. Lino, our host, was very helpful with directions and dinner suggestions. If you love cats, try the Keiv restaurant nearby—its chef feeds the neighborhood cats and the food is wonderful! There was nothing else to complain about, except that the freezer needs to be defrosted.
Its central location, cozy and clean structure make it worth returning to soon.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Sassolino Dimora Storica. The accommodation was beautiful, very clean, comfortable, and full of character. Everything was well maintained and exactly what we hoped for during our visit to Matera. The location was excellent and made it very easy to explore the city. We especially loved the atmosphere of the property — it really added something special to our experience in Matera. The host was extremely welcoming, helpful and easy to communicate with, which made the whole stay smooth from check-in to check-out. We only stayed for one night, but we genuinely wished we could have stayed longer. We would definitely choose this place again on our next visit to Matera and can highly recommend it to anyone visiting this beautiful city

The location was excellent, right next to the world's oldest stone church in the Sassi area. Mr. Lino was helpful, booked dinner at a trattoria with good food and reasonable prices, and even though we didn’t have breakfast, he offered coffee, tea, and two croissants. He was a very kind and friendly man. The only drawback was the noisy neighbors upstairs, which was quite annoying. Overall, everything else was very good.
