I was impressed by how clean and modern the furnishings were, but the room was tiny and swarmed with mosquitoes that left me bitten all night. When I mentioned the blood stains caused by my period, the staff charged me for it, which felt embarrassing to bring up in front of the men.

The décor was sleek and the bed was comfy, so if you just need a place to sleep it’s fine, but be aware this is a love hotel. We never saw any mention of that on the hotel’s site or Google, yet we were offered condoms for sale in the room and erotic costumes at the reception counter. The room was cramped and poorly ventilated; the bathroom was inside the room, so humidity hung in the air and mosquitoes kept biting us more than outside. The room wasn’t cleaned when we asked, so we slept on increasingly damp sheets. We even found a cockroach in our sink. The blanket barely covered the bed, making it hard for two people to use. The walls weren’t soundproof, so we heard everything in the hallway and other rooms, and the music blasted from the hallway speakers all day. It was all a bit too much for a love hotel.
