The rooms were great, the staff lovely, and the hotel was close to town and the racecourse. It was advertised as a bed and breakfast, but only continental breakfast was offered and the hot options were extra, so I’d recommend heading into town for breakfast.

The room was nice, the location convenient, and breakfast was good. I was overcharged on a Chester Races Day and had to queue at the bar just to get drinks.

The hotel looked sleek and modern, but the “included breakfast” was a let‑down, especially given the steep price of over £200 for a single night. We found the selection very limited and it wasn’t clear from the booking that it was an uncooked, single‑option breakfast. I expected at least a cooked option at that rate. Additionally, the rooms were dimly lit, making it hard to get ready.
