Free Wi-Fi and proximity to Freiburg's old town, Central Train Station, and Münster Cathedral make it an ideal stay.

The receptionist was friendly (unlike her colleague). Breakfast was decent, parking was hassle‑free, and the location was good. The room was only partially cleaned; despite repeated requests, no follow‑up cleaning was done. The furniture was worn, and the carpet was dirty. The pool area was noticeably smaller than expected, and the bathrobes were size XS.

The staff were competent, the location central, the rooms were price‑appropriate and there were sporting facilities, but we couldn't find a place to grab a light bite at lunch.

The hotel is well situated close to the city center, but the parking signage was somewhat confusing.

The hotel is in a good location and has a pool, but the rooms feel a bit old‑fashioned, there are no bathrobes or slippers (important for pool use), no minibar, windows cannot be opened, and you hear noise from other rooms. My Novotel Club membership wasn't recognized (I used to stay often at Novotel Berlin Tiergarten). The price for the service was quite high.
