The location and the check‑in, check‑out procedures were all super organized, and the room itself was pretty good. The downside was a very strong cigarette smell that lingered on my luggage; I had to wash my clothes because the odor didn’t fade even after several days. The hallways and kitchen also had a nasty, stale odor.

The proximity to the station and the good price within the 23rd ward were highlights. Unfortunately the Wi‑Fi was slow and kept dropping, there were flies flying around, and at times the bathroom was filled with sewer odor.

“Great last-minute option”

I booked this room at the last minute because the original one was awful, and the check‑in details arrived quickly. I was worried about cleanliness, but the room was tidy. The only negatives were a bed that seemed to give up on itself and a few bugs that entered the room (expected on that floor). Once, my bathroom window was suddenly opened—likely from the outside—while I had left it slightly ajar to dry clothes, which worries me as a solo female traveler. I also didn’t realize the entrance to my room was shared with another room and that it housed the kitchen and both fridges; I disliked that the shared entrance door was almost always unlocked.

I had an excellent stay at this accommodation. The western‑style room was spacious, and the price was unbeatable, offering great value for money. The location was ideal, right next to the train station and many shops. I stayed for three weeks and had nothing to complain about. There was a bit of dust in some spots when I arrived, but a few minutes of cleaning made everything spotless. I was on the ground floor and the quiet was remarkable—no outside noise, so I slept very well. The property is slightly set back from the road, which adds to the silence, and the bedding was very comfortable. Communication with the owner was smooth from start to finish, which is a real plus. For this price, it’s hard to find a better place: private toilets and a shared kitchen with just one other room is truly ideal.
