The location was fine, but there were no staff‑controlled locks on anything, no place to relax—just a few hard stools in a cramped kitchen that were not very comfortable, and everything felt geared toward squeezing out profits.

This hostel tops the charts for Penang: the place is immaculate, the staff and kitchen cater to every need, and they throw in free Nescafé 3/1! The Armenian Art Street is right next door, close to everything, with a bus to Bathu Ferenghi for the beach show at the Bora Bora every night, and the food is absolutely delicious.
