Everything was great: especially the friendly staff, good food, clean room, and nice beach. Nothing to add.

The resort had everything we dreamed of and was right on the water. The beach and beach chairs were 100 % in order, and the surroundings were well maintained. We didn’t get the room we were promised in the confirmation, but when we pointed it out, the staff found a new room for us as quickly as possible that met all our expectations. The reception, buffet, and housekeeping staff were all friendly and accommodating. We didn’t take part in the activities, but those who ran them were super nice and chatted a bit with us while walking around and telling us about the next activity of the day; it was pleasant and left a good impression. I was a bit disappointed with the main course at the Italian restaurant, which we could only order once during our stay – it was mostly meat with almost no side dishes. We were glad we asked for the salad and starter to remain on the table so we could add them ourselves. The dessert was really good. The area outside the resort was a bit dull, but the only way to get to Heraklion (the nearest city) was by bus, which was a nice trip. The bus ride was good and the Greeks are very considerate and helpful. There was an option to pay for a tour from the hotel, but we didn’t use it because of the price. We missed being able to walk outside the hotel, but the surroundings didn’t offer that; there was a road with souvenir shops and groceries.

Parking was fine and the staff were friendly, but the overall experience was limited by the rundown facilities and a borderline trashy location. The place really stinks—sometimes like sewage, sometimes like burned oil, and at the buffet it even smells like vomit. Room 927’s air conditioner was full of mold, giving us all stuffed noses and making the smell even worse.

The room was very beautiful and spacious with a sea view. However, the expectations for the establishment were overhyped; the food didn’t meet the promised quality, activities were scarce (no yoga, wine or olive oil tastings, few water‑related amenities), and it was very disappointing for the price paid.

The location was very close to the Hekalion and there were restaurants and shops in the area.
