The room was very nice with top‑class equipment in a good location in the old city centre. Attractions, restaurants, cafés, etc. are all within walking distance or nearby. The communication with the host was smooth and the check‑in/check‑out was well organised, no reception needed. The parking is outside the old city centre, so it’s better to drive to the hotel first to unload luggage. I had a room on the street side and the delivery of nearby restaurants started at 7:30 am, causing quite a bit of noise. It’s better to book a room on the back of the building if you want to sleep in longer.
“Absolut empfehlenswert”
“Lovely room, very comfortable, spacious and a nice space to be in.”
The room was great—spacious, well decorated, and comfortable, with a coffee/tea station right outside the door. There was also a small balcony, which was a bonus. The bathroom was large and well equipped. The place is close to the old city, Market Place, Goethe’s House, the National Theatre, and the excellent Haus of Weimar museum. It’s a 30‑minute walk from the railway station, and it took about an hour to locate it at first (Google Maps led me on a long, winding route around the town rather than through the centre). Breakfast isn’t offered, but the tea/coffee station comes with cutlery, crockery, and cups, so you can grab something from one of the many bakeries nearby and bring it back to the room. The restaurant next door (Cielo’s) has an extensive breakfast menu, but it’s pricey and very busy (this was a Sunday morning).
Everything was simple, clean, and the location is central.
“insgesamt aber schöner aufenthalt und dank an das sehr hilfreiche personal.”
The location is great. When I couldn’t check in on Friday because the lockbox had blown out, I got help immediately. There’s nothing for people with a sensitive nose; the odd smell—probably from a damp basement and exhaust pipes on the flat roof—makes the kitchen smell strong. It’s hard to keep the window open overnight.
