“For a hotel claiming to offer five-star service, the overall experience was highly disappointing.”
The location and beds were fine. For a hotel claiming five‑star service, the overall experience was highly disappointing. The door and bellboy service was particularly poor. Aside from one tall, well‑presented doorman/bellboy who stood out positively, the other bellboys were largely inattentive and ineffective, showing little initiative or basic courtesy. One even slouched in a reception chair instead of attending to guests or opening doors. Some receptionists were equally disappointing, lacking professionalism and attentiveness well below the expected standard. The bar service during breakfast was equally atrocious: the barman huffed, puffed, and snorted dismissively while taking coffee requests, displaying unacceptable rudeness and unprofessionalism. Fortunately, the waitresses were helpful and attentive, making the dining experience more pleasant. The chef was genuinely nice, accommodating, and pleasant. Overall, this hotel falls far short of five‑star standards, especially in service, staff attitude, and hospitality. Despite its good location and reasonably good facilities, I would rate it no more than three stars. Significant improvements in staff training, professionalism, and basic guest service are urgently needed.
