The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and the place was extremely clean. We booked two rooms and had the kitchen, lounge, and balcony all to ourselves, plus sun loungers by the pool. Breakfast was fantastic—fruit plates, eggs, toast, rice hoppers, and dhal, all tasty and plentiful. Rosi and Shan made the stay amazing; Shan took us to the beach and organized trips to local sites in his tuk‑tuk. I would definitely recommend this place.

Nice bathroom with a large shower, a big comfortable bed, a lovely garden with a pool, and a tasty, varied breakfast. The owner is friendly and speaks German very well.

We were excited about the villa and the pool, and the breakfasts were excellent. Shan, the Tuk Tuk driver, was extremely helpful. We had booked the villa because the reviews said we would have the whole top floor to ourselves, but that turned out not to be true and we were disappointed. We expected more privacy, yet only the bedroom was private. The top‑floor facilities shared with other guests, including the TV seating area, felt a bit awkward. If you know this beforehand and are okay with it, the villa can still be a great stay, but we prefer a bit more privacy.

We had the most fabulous time at Sunny Villa, thanks to our hosts Rosi, Sarah, Shan, and the rest of Rosi’s wonderful family, who made our stay so special and perfect. The villa itself is simply lovely, with a wonderful pool, garden area, and several nice seating spots. Every part of the villa, including the rooms, is exceptionally clean and well looked after. Our room was beautiful, adorned with flower petals, and we received a welcome flower bouquet. The bed was fantastic and the most comfortable we’ve had while traveling around Sri Lanka. Breakfast was amazing, offering many beautiful choices and plenty to eat; Rosi always brewed coffee, served cakes, fruit, and snacks whenever we returned to the villa. The entire family was so welcoming that it felt like being part of their lovely family, not to mention Billy the dog, who was gorgeous. Shan took us on wonderful trips in his Tuk Tuk and is very kind and considerate. Thank you, Rosi, Sarah, Shan, and your wonderful family, for making our stay the most wonderful one and for sharing your amazing villa and kindness with us.
