First of all, we can only applaud the constant investment and the work of this beautiful little family. Here you are almost (because the wifi works super well) alone in the world. The beach is superb, with no construction or litter. It’s a wild nature spot with no tourists. Special mention to Romeo – he’s a really great cook, our best meals in Malaysia. Dayan at the restaurant is really adorable, smiling and so kind. The rooms are well designed and the fan does miracles. That was a good stay.

“The perfect place to switch off!”

If you want to truly unplug, this is the spot. Waking up in a beachfront bungalow with only the sea’s sound was unforgettable, and the vast, quiet beaches were often empty, making you feel like nature belonged solely to you. What sets this place apart is Romeo; his passion shines through everything he’s built, rooted in his own village and reflecting authentic local culture rather than a generic tourist trap. He can also arrange local experiences and trips. The food was excellent, and we loved every meal—a truly unique stay we’ll always remember.

“Relax e tranquillità”

The journey to get there is long, but you’re always in good company and it’s worth it to reach this slice of paradise. Romeo, the owner, was truly kind and welcoming. We adored his cooking; he prepared fresh dishes for us every day with passion. We also took a wonderful trip with him, which he organized with all the comforts possible even out at sea. You won’t want to leave. The beach lodge was really beautiful, all details were very well cared for and clean. We also had our own bathroom and electricity available. We had a small issue in the room, but Romeo found a solution immediately. He also took care of getting us to the location safely. A place where you find extreme peace and relaxation without tourist villages and with a clear, calm sea, no big ships. An experiment I recommend for those wanting to escape the usual tourist routes. On the negative side, I mention this only to warn future travelers. For me, Tammoyo Place is a 10 out of 10, it has no negative side! To reach the lodge it takes a little over an hour by car from the port; once you arrive there are no nearby infrastructures, you bring everything you need, but that’s the beauty. The sea is beautiful but not swim‑friendly; you have to be careful, but Romeo will take you snorkeling where possible.

“Good simple accommodation on Banggi Island”

Banggi is a beautiful island and Tammoyo Place is a pretty good option to spend several days on it, but only for people who like simple accommodation. Romeo, the host, did everything for our comfortable stay. He offers good snorkeling trips by boat. Another option is to climb Banggi Mounting (for those who like forest trekking).
