The setting was nice, breakfast food was good, the bedroom was pleasant and the bed very comfortable, but the shower in room 23 kept falling down and hitting our heads.
“Was fine for somewhere to sleep but things could be better”
The location worked well for our event and the downstairs interior was lovely, but breakfast was quite poor: the bread was stale on the edges, the tattie scone in the cooked breakfast was greasy, the sausage wasn’t very good, and there were no pastries even though a selection was advertised. The shower was especially grimy, with pink grout.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location is great, just a short walk to Banchory town centre. The room offered good value for money, and the breakfast selection was excellent and tasty each morning. However, the room needed a deeper clean: the grout in the bathroom floor and the shower tiles were dirty, the shower drainage was poor, the wall next to the bed could have been wiped down, and the carpet required cleaning.
