“Could be nice if facilities where working that you looked forward to enjoying”
The staff were great. The jacuzzi was broken and the kettle in the room didn’t work.

The room was perfect and roomy. I had no dislikes.

The room was large, spacious and comfortable. I know this sounds nit‑picky, but a little more care with the small details would give the place an extra edge—clean windows, curtains that open and close easily, dust‑free cupboards—all add to the overall impression. One odd detail was that there was nothing to dry hands in the upstairs guest toilet; I told a staff member, but when I used the bathroom again later, nothing had appeared. Although it wasn’t the room’s ensuite, it’s the toilet guests would naturally use when visiting, so it’s a small but important detail. I also felt uneasy seeing spa staff sitting on the stairway that guests need to use to reach their rooms; a dedicated staff area away from guest walkways would feel more appropriate. None of these are major problems individually, but together they suggest a slight lack of attention to finer details and pull a bit from what could otherwise be a very polished experience.

The food was excellent. I liked everything.

There was nothing positive to say about the place. The carpets in our room were filthy, and when we asked for a room upgrade they refused. On the second day towels were never changed; they were damp from the morning shower. Breakfast was over‑cooked—eggs were hard as a rock. It’s hard to imagine coming back to this place.
