I usually avoid writing about Indonesian hotels because chains tend to be dirty, and I rarely leave negative reviews. I had found a place that was clean for the first time and was about to write a positive note, but the operator released their German Shepherd on my pregnant wife at checkout and didn’t restrain it for long, which frightened her. The hotel industry needs flawless customer communication; not everyone with money should enter tourism.

The bed was good, but they tried to charge for a blanket and the towel was too small. If you need water you have to walk to another room far from yours. The staff doesn’t speak English.

I was shocked because there was no blanket, disappointed that they didn’t give one, and slept cold without it.
