“Brilliant Location in the Heart of Amsterdam!”

The location is absolutely brilliant, right in the heart of Amsterdam! You can walk to almost every major attraction. The H’ART Museum is just about a 3-minute walk away, while the Nationale Opera & Ballet is only a minute or two from the hotel. Rembrandt Square is literally just a few steps away, and the tram accessibility from the hotel is top-notch. The proximity to such a wide variety of restaurants and fast-food spots, shopping stores really makes this hotel feel like it’s at the heartbeat of the city. There are so many options that you can truly eat until you drop! I was especially happy to satisfy my craving for Dutch food, which ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. And try the Wok To Go Asian cuisine and thank me later ( I loved their Tornado shrimp 🦐) The NYX Hotel has amazing staff who are genuinely ready to give you the best experience possible. From the front desk to the restaurant staff during breakfast, everyone was friendly, welcoming, and readily available to make sure you were comfortable. I arrived very early in the morning after a 6:20 a.m. flight and was pleasantly surprised to be allowed to check in before the normal check-in time. After a long journey and dealing with jet lag, that meant so much to me. The staff truly deserves an accolade for their hospitality! And oh my, the breakfast was super delicious, with so much variety! I absolutely loved the freshly made orange juice, pancakes and waffles. The bread was out of this world, and the fresh fruit and yoghurt were also wonderful. And to cap it all off, the complimentary popcorn 🍿 was such a sweet touch! It may seem like a small gesture, but it really shows that this hotel and its staff understand what true hospitality means — making guests feel welcomed, cared for, and appreciated. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend NYX Hotel to anyone looking for a centrally located hotel with wonderful staff and great food. Nothing at all

“goed gelegen hotel, in midden van het centrum op wandelafstand van Trevi en metro.”

The spot is great, and the front desk tipped me off to an authentic trattoria right next door that serves delicious food at a reasonable price. The room was well equipped but noisy—though the curtains worked fine. It’s a five‑minute walk to the Trevi Fountain. The breakfast this time disappointed: the toaster had to be turned on manually and took a long time to toast bread, scrambled eggs were cold, there were only two slices of bacon left, the fruit juice was watery, and the staff argued in front of guests. The fruit came in cans. The only pleasant items were cookies and coffee cakes. Fresh fruit included kiwi and apples, but the bread was dry and had to be grilled. The reception forgot to give me the phone extension, so I couldn’t reach them on the first night (tel 66009).

“Hotel kortbij Trevi fontein, goed voor enkele nachten.”

The location is great, the rooms are on the smaller side but the bed was comfortable. The reception staff were okay but rather impersonal, except for one lady who worked the night shift and was very friendly and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was fine. Housekeeping was friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was quite small; the buffet was okay, but a little explanation on how to use the toaster, for example, would be welcome. The lady at breakfast was friendly but didn’t explain how everything worked (instructions could also be posted). For instance, you had to turn the toaster on yourself (a detail, but if it’s off it gives the impression it’s broken). Reception staff were professional but impersonal. The rooms were small, but that’s usually the case in big cities. The minibar was very small.

The location is perfect—no transport needed for any major city spots, even the farthest ones. The staff were attentive and accommodating, especially Tiziana, the breakfast lady, and the other concierges. Breakfast was very varied and plentiful: eggs in all styles, sausages, crispy bacon, legumes, cucumbers, tomatoes, cold cuts, fruit, a range of breads, juices, coffee, and more. The room was comfortable, fully equipped, and the building had an elevator. There was a 24‑hour coffee, water, and sweets service. I stayed for 8 nights and will definitely return.

“Fab location”

The single bedroom was tiny but had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The location was fabulous. The room was very small, with a small window that let in limited light.
